My next step will be to google the chipset of the card if it really supports N. If the third antenna wire’s not connected, then I don’t believe you can get “N” wireless. I just don’t understand that there are only so little options available in the drivers to tweak the atheros card.

I should also just add that this WiFi adapter has worked great for me previously under Ubuntu Atheros Wi-Fi ping issues TarkonteNov 3,in forum: The best I had with it were very intermittent, spotty connections to the Internet, and often not even stheros my router.
